Therapy for women navigating pregnancy, postpartum, trauma, and disordered eating.
Counseling and Art Therapy in Herndon, Virginia.
Are you moving through your days feeling overwhelmed, anxious, or unsure of yourself?
Are you experiencing intrusive thoughts, constant worry, or a sense of anxiety that will not quiet, especially during pregnancy or the postpartum period? Maybe there are fears that feel too big to say out loud, or layers of trauma, shame, and anxiety that follow you throughout the day.
You might notice old patterns resurfacing. Disordered eating, body image struggles, depression, grief, rage, or unresolved trauma can show up in ways you did not expect. For many women, experiences like postpartum anxiety, birth trauma, or identity shifts in motherhood can intensify these feelings and leave you feeling disconnected or overwhelmed.
You do not have to do this alone.
As a therapist specializing in perinatal mental health, trauma therapy, and eating disorder recovery in Virginia, I offer a space where you can slow down, feel seen, and begin reconnecting with yourself. Together, we will gently explore what you are carrying without judgment or pressure, so you can begin to feel more grounded, supported, and whole.
In our work, you will find acceptance, compassion, and a collaborative approach. This is not about a one size fits all treatment plan. It is about partnering together in a way that honors your story and supports meaningful, lasting healing.
Together we will create a space where you can take the pressure off, feel seen, and start reconnecting with who you really are at your core. In my office, you’ll find acceptance and encouragement, with a therapist who doesn’t just prescribe a treatment plan, but who can understand and partner with you to support your healing and wholeness.
Helping overwhelmed women find healing to feel like themselves again.

Art Therapy
Art Therapy blends talk therapy with the power of creative expression. You don’t need any art experience, just curiosity and openness. By engaging your senses through art-making, this approach can access parts of the brain where words fall short, helping you process emotions, release stuck memories, and explore healing in a deeper, more holistic way. Whether you're navigating trauma, motherhood, birth trauma, body image, or an eating disorder, Art Therapy offers a safe and empowering path forward.
Art therapy offers a safe, compassionate space to explore your story and begin to heal: one image, one color, one line, one breath at a time.

Frequently Asked Questions
-
Art Therapy combines the principles of psychotherapy with the power of creative expression, offering a unique and dynamic approach to healing. No artistic skill or experience is needed—just a willingness to explore and engage in the process.
This approach addresses the same concerns you might explore in traditional talk therapy but incorporates the art-making process to involve more of your senses—and, by extension, more areas of your brain. By moving beyond words, Art Therapy can help you access deeper emotions, gain new insights, and foster healing in a profoundly holistic way.
-
Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) is an evidence-based therapeutic approach designed to help individuals heal from the emotional distress and trauma that can feel overwhelming or difficult to resolve through traditional talk therapy. EMDR focuses on the brain's natural ability to process and integrate experiences, using bilateral stimulation—such as guided eye movements, tapping, or auditory tones—to help reprocess and release the emotional intensity tied to painful memories.
During EMDR sessions, we’ll identify and explore troubling memories, thoughts, or feelings that are impacting your well-being. Through a structured, step-by-step process, EMDR works to reduce the emotional charge of these experiences, allowing you to feel more grounded, empowered, and free to move forward.
This approach is highly effective for treating trauma, PTSD, anxiety, depression, and other challenges. EMDR offers a transformative way to move through emotional barriers and achieve lasting healing.
