How It Works

1. Book a Free Consultation

We offer a complimentary 20-minute phone or video consultation call with the therapist you are interested in working with. This is time to share your therapy goals, ask questions, and ensure it feels like a good fit.

2. Schedule An Intake

A 75-minute intake session is the first step in beginning your therapeutic journey. This extended session allows you and your therapist to get to know each other, explore your unique needs, and establish a foundation for your work together.

3. Begin Regular sessions

After your intake session, you will schedule your follow-up sessions on a weekly or bi-weekly basis based on your needs.

Insurance

We are out-of-network providers and do not bill insurance directly.

However, we can provide you with a superbill—a detailed receipt of our sessions—that you can submit to your insurance company for potential out-of-network reimbursement.

Alanna is also an approved out-of-network (non-network) provider for Tricare East plans. This means while we cannot bill Tricare directly you can get reimbursed for sessions with Alanna. If you are a Tricare subscriber, learn more here.

Before starting services, we encourage you to contact your insurance provider to clarify your plan’s out-of-network benefits. Understanding your coverage upfront can help you make informed decisions about your care. We are happy to help guide you if you need assistance with this process!

Our practice has also partnered with Mentaya, a service that streamlines getting reimbursed for your therapy sessions through out-of-network benefits.

Mentaya charges a 5% fee per claim, but they guarantee claims are successfully submitted or a full refund of their fees.
